A Horoscope is an astrological chart or diagram representing the positions of the Sun, Moon, planets, astrological aspects and sensitive places (called angles) at the time of an event, such as the moment of a person’s birth an event or a question posed to the astrologer. The word horoscope is derived from Greek words hõra and scopos meaning “time” and “observer” (horoskopos, pl. horoskopoi, or “marker(s) of the hour”). Other commonly used names for the horoscope in English include natal chart, astrological chart, astro-chart, celestial map, sky-map, star-chart, cosmogram, vitasphere, radical chart, radix, chart wheel or simply chart. It is used as a method of analyzing person’s tendencies, personality, challenges , gifts or as a divinatory tool, especially in horary astrology.

How does it work? Nobody knows! But it works and most astrologers stopped asking this question a long while ago.
Is it a science? No, not in a sense that it does have enough of empirical data to back it up. And, truthfully, nobody cares but the skeptics. We don’t know enough about human psyche or heavens, or afterlife, or Divinity, or mind, or the next cure-all-diet, yet we do live within these concepts.
What I can personally tell you is that only astrology explained Me to Me. It’s a fascinating tool (and an intersection) of mythology+symbolism+universe workings.
