If you are interested in buying a painting, just click on the BUY button and follow the instructions to purchase it through Credit/Debit Card (secure server) or PayPal. If you have any questions, please email me. If a painting is not marked sold it is available for purchase. Once payment is received I will prepare your painting for shipping.
Once your payment is received I will prepare your painting for shipping. Watercolors don’t have any drying time, but acrylic paintings need to dry, if they’ve been painted recently. Additionally I apply a coat of varnish for protection so please allow few days for watercolors and up to 2 weeks for an acrylic for delivery from the time the painting was purchased. In general, allow 5 days-1 week of handling.
If you see a painting that has been sold but want something similar please email me for a commission (an additional 20-30% of the price is applied).
My paintings are shipped worldwide, unless noted otherwise on specific products. All are personally and carefully packaged in acid-free supplies (will not affect the painting).
I ship via USPS, Fedex and UPS. I reserve the right to ship with the carrier of my choice, even after the order. This is due to low estimates on the website and so the cost of shipping is covered.
You'll receive a tracking email (except First Class—not guaranteed) once the painting has shipped so you will know when to expect your delivery.
EMAIL ME if you need a special shipping and handling; insurance, sign-in on delivery or any other protection. I am not responsible for lost packages.
I take every precaution to ensure the artwork and prints do not get damaged during the shipping process. Take great care when opening or allow your framing professional to open.
In-stock items ship within 5-10 business days unless noted otherwise in the product listing.
Made-to-order items take between 2-4 weeks to ship (this is noted in the item listing).
International packages are sometimes held up in Customs so the transit times will vary. Give yourself up to 4 weeks deadline from the ordering date.
Sometimes I get backed up, especially during the holiday season. If you need an item sent quickly to make a deadline, please let me know and I’ll try my hardest to work something out.
Approximate delivery (first class USPS) time from the package has left my studio is:3-5 working day to the USA, 7-10 working days to Canada, 10-15 working days to the remaining destinations
I ship all over the world, and the freight charge depends on your delivery address, weight and size of the purchase and your purchase amount.
Find your delivery zone below the order under CheckOut section and see the charges. My shop is directly connected to USPS and other carriers for real time pricing.
Anything under 16″ inches ships USPS. Paintings larger than 16″ inches usually go via FedEx ground. The very smallest paintings go First Class USPS. Your shipping fee includes the cost of postage, packing materials, labor and stocking but not insurance. If you need an insurance, contact me.
If your package weighs more than 13oz, it must be shipped via Priority Mail and it can sometimes take 7 or more business days for packages to reach you via First Class Mail. Priority Mail packages are usually delivered within three days of shipping, but the USPS does not guarantee delivery within a certain time frame for Priority packages.
USPS doesn’t offer tracking services for First Class packages. Priority packages can technically be tracked, but the USPS isn’t required to scan them upon arrival at each destination, which means the tracking info is fairly unreliable.
Prints 11×14″ or smaller are shipped in flat white cardboard mailers. Prints larger than 11×14″ are shipped in cardboard tubes.
Oversized artwork (framed paper) requires special packaging , expect higher charges.
We are not liable for any mishandling or failed delivery by the shipping service (USPS or UPS, domestically or internationally), and we are not liable for any damage incurred post-delivery. We work hard to package each order with care in sturdy flat mailers and tubes so that it arrives undamaged, and we suggest you handle your new artwork with care when framing and stretching.
We do not run the post office or UPS, and we have no control over the treatment of your package in transit! It’s just as much of a bummer for us to see damaged prints and art as it is for you to receive them.
Damaged Print: If your print is damaged in transit we are happy to handle this on a case by case basis with individual collectors who are able to provide details and documentation of the damage. Creasing and bends can be flattened. Collectors may be asked to file a claim with the shipping service. If the order is a complete loss and we offer a reprint, we ask that you return the print to our studio, either in the original packaging or in sturdy packaging purchased at your local post office. Collectors are responsible for shipping costs for replacement prints.
We are unable to replace for free any prints damaged after delivery, so please place your print in a place away from possible water or heat damage, and handle the artwork with care when framing and stretching.
Not Delivered / Lost / Stolen: If your package is marked “Delivered” and yet is nowhere to be found on your doorstep, please first check your confirmation email to ensure that you input the correct shipping address. We are unable to replace any print or artwork order for free if the shipping address is incorrect.
If the address is correct and you believe your package to have been lost, stolen, or if you missed the delivery, you must contact the shipping service personally. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything we can do on our end, so we are unable to address any failed delivery or theft issues directly.
If a package is unable to be delivered, and is returned to our studio, we are happy to reship, but ask that you pay the for the additional postage. We are unable to reprint any order for free that has been not delivered, lost, or stolen.
Payment is accepted through secured Credit Card or PayPal (IMPORTANT : you don’t have to have a PayPal account to use it, credit card is accepted via PayPal). Money order or bank transfers are NOT accepted.
Well, yes, of course! I'm so glad you ask! Please read more on my COMMISSION page.
Before any work starts, 50% deposit must be paid. It's a non-refundable payment due to ordered supplies etc. The rest of the payment (remaining 50%) must be paid and cleared before the artwork ships. You'll be sent additional invoice for the shipping.
I do! All framing is done in USA. Please allow an additional 3-4 weeks for your delivery.
We've partnered with Simply Framed and local framers for a beautiful framing. Keep in mind, it adds to the cost of artwork and service. If you decide to diy your frame, I suggest working with a local framer—they are usually very helpful and affordable (you skip the higher shipping charges due to a heavier and bigger work once framed).
NOTE: Frame is not included unless stated otherwise.
FRAMES: If listing displays Frame Add-Ons below the descriptions and you're interested in having your piece framed, please choose one option and it will be automatically added to your cart. Read more about it (shipping, lead-time) under SHIPPING tab to the right of the description.
• Framed artwork (sold as Framed) leaves studio within 2 weeks from your order.

• If Artwork offers different frames as Add-On items, please read about all of them (4 versions) here (White Floater | Silver Leaf Floater | Under Plexi | Plexibox Lucite )
Your shipping is calculated by weight and size automatically, by being directly connected to USPS, FEDEX and UPS stores. If, for any reason, the amount looks odd, please just email me.
Once frames are ordered for your custom framing, you can't change the order. No returns.
Your art print will have a white border for easy matting : .75-2″ all around depending on the size of the final paper. If you need it full bleed (no white border, email me) Sizes listed in the shop are sizes of the outside dimensions of the paper.
All Art Prints are of my original artwork and are copyrighted.
They are printed professionally on a gorgeous archival, fade-resistant paper or canvas.
All Prints are packaged to prevent bending or warping in transit they are placed in archival cello sleeve then placed into a “Do Not Bend” sticker.
Each painting may use a different substrate and is clearly stated on the product listing.
Some originals are signed on front (or initialed) and ALL are signed on the back of the painting (sometimes of the side) by Marta Spendowska. Most of my watercolor paintings are painted on either Fabriano or Arches or art archival museum quality art papers, 98lb, 140lb or 300lb. I use artistic watercolors by W&N or Holbein or Graham or archival mixed media, but regardless—never hang your art close to a windows — rays will damage the artwork. Most of my mixed media work is painted on either paper, canvas, or on wood : in case of panel over 3/8″ these are ready to hang (no framing needed). I like the edges to be either white, wood-like or painted like a painting.
It is possible to cancel your order if it hasn’t been sent. Contact me IMMEDIATELY and I will try to help you. It is not possible to cancel or change your order once it has been submitted. This also includes changing the size or color of a product, removing an item, changing the delivery address or payment method.
Once frames are ordered for your custom framing, you can't change or cancel the order.
Due to the custom nature of the business, all sales are final; returns, refunds, and exchanges are not provided. Please email your questions before purchasing.
If you receive a damaged or incorrect product, please email contact (at) verymarta (dot) com within 3 days of order receipt.
I work hard to ensure the images displayed on the website depict the art accurately. Due to variations in screen brightness and resolutions, printed art and frame finish coloring may differ slightly from what is shown on a computer or device.

Sometimes, it’s better to ask me how to approach the request you might have, ok? Cool.
Nope, not my thing. But, I did one dog portrait and it turned out great! It has been included in the book by the amazing design studio TheModernDog : 1000 Dog Portraits.
Hmm…not really. My watercolor is an experimentation. If you’d like to study this medium (watercolor), read everything about it you can get your hands on. It’s a difficult medium and so different than oils or acrylics. BUT! If you are an Artist, I created this page specifically for you.
Very possibly!
