After the 31 Portraits project ended, I kept feeling the silence they left behind, as if the faces were still there, waiting for one more round.
So I’ve opened a very limited number of new portraits, 8 x 10 inches, in black ink on watercolor paper, made in that same charged stillness. Each one feels like catching someone just before they disappear.

Portrait Photo Requirements
To create your portrait, please provide a reference photo that meets the following:

Contrast and detail: The photo should have decent or high contrast so the face reads clearly, with visible shadows and highlights.

Eyes visible: Eyes are central to capturing presence and must be clearly seen.

Head position: Preferably a 3/4 view of the face for an interesting angle. Avoid full-frontal, flat passport-style photos.

Expression: No big smiles — subtle, natural expressions work best.

Age requirement: Portraits are for people 16 years or older.

Submission timeframe: Please send your photo within 2 days of purchase.

Photo tips if needed: If you don’t have a suitable photo, inspiration images will be provided. A phone photo works fine; it just needs to be reasonably clear, with visible detail and shadow, not washed out.
