The Fall is my favorite smell. The smells of in-between and mischief. People burn their leaves, squirrels drool over hoarded nuts, and crabapples are half-decayed masterpieces resting on the dirt. October is the Memento Mori of Time's twelve apostles, reminding us we're just a breath on this earth. Most of us live on a constant inhale. 

And I bought this perfume that smells like damp fir trees or maybe the underground lair of someone buried in moss. Creepy, right? I wear it like I'm some eccentric madam from the Polish countryside, unapologetic, slightly mad, wildly and loudly alive.
